Paris

Meet

Manuel

How to describe Manuel?

His dad is Moroccan, his mom is Romanian, he has a Spanish name, and he used to teach English. His dad is Muslim, he grew up Christian Orthodox, and went to a Catholic school in a Jewish neighborhood. Life has its complexities, but that is the way Manu likes it!

For the past

years, he’s decided to apply his teaching experience to a new career as a guide, blending history, observation, and fun to make people learn everything there is to know about Paris and its past.

Explicit French

is the name of his comedy show about the French people; Manu will be more than happy to have you come for a few laughs and drinks! He can tell about how he got lost alone at night in Medellin’s worst neighborhood, or the time he almost got stopped in a train at the Transnistria border (yes, it’s an actual place!).

My Favorite Location?

Cité des Sciences

My Guilty Pleasure?

All kinds, all the time

My Favorite Quote?

“Why do you go away? So that you can come back. So that you can see the place you came from with new eyes and extra colors. And the people there see you differently, too. Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving.” – Terry Pratchett

My Superpower?

I talk like greased lightning!
