In every country, Christmas has its own traditions. This Sweet Tour introduces you to the famous Christmas desserts, formerly served before the midnight mass. Our yummy itinerary will allow you to taste 12 of them and get interesting anecdotes about their creation.

From cakes to candied fruits to nougats or even gingerbread, you will discover the best of French delights, in the elegant district of Saint-Germain des Prés.

Your experience begins near your meeting point, around Saint-Germain-des-Prés Church. Here stands the smallest Christmas market of Paris, also one of the most appreciated.

No better way to face a winter afternoon than with a hot drink in which you will savourly dip an Alsatian version (east region of France) of gingerbread.

What would be Christmas without chocolate? Hardly something! Your next stop offers you a delicious blend of cream and cocoa powder: truffles! Originally from the Alps, this candy is nowadays a Christmas gift all over France.

Everyone appreciates eating warm food that gives energy during winter times. Hence, eating grilled tasty chestnuts will warm your fingers. Also, especially for those who have more of a sweet tooth, you will enjoy glazed chestnut, the quintessential winter sweet in France.

Almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, grapes are also inescapable in Christmas: you’ll find them in the nougat, trapped into soft white and brilliant dough, as well in “mendiants”, flat cakes referring to Christmas spiritual meaning.

Can I come with my children?
