French Regional Family Food Tour Paris (Private)
Food tasting is a wonderful way to have your kids discover French culture and traditions. This Family Food Tour has been designed to please all palates, from the youngest to the eldest. Beginning at 11am, it will serve as your lunch.
France has a lot of regional specialties and you would need months, if not years, to travel through all the regions to taste them. We have crafted this unique, yummy journey of French food along a typical Parisian street next to Montmartre: “Rue des Martyrs.”
In this area, we can find some passionate food artisans who will introduce your youngsters to food they weren’t aware of and will make them love it!
The tour starts with a very traditional daily quest in French life: buying bread! Entering a very traditional bakery, your Welcomer will help your children order a “baguette, s’il vous plait.” At that time of the day, they’re just out of the oven, so your kids will be able to smell the incomparable warm aroma before breaking the “crouton” (baguette crust) and tasting it with delight.
A food tour in Paris designed to please the whole family!
Next stop, an unavoidable moment in a French meal: cheese! You'll discover a certified cheesemonger’s shop, tiny but providing more than 60 sorts of cheese, from Burgundy to the Alps region, from Alsace to Normandy.
Your next stop will make your mouth water. We will sit in a typical French bistro to enjoy a glass of wine and try some delicious cold cuts from all over France. You will taste dried pork sausage (our beloved “saucisson”), cured ham, pâté, and much more! You will discover why cured meats are so important to French people today.
Continue your taste journey with delicious snails from Burgundy. Enjoy this French delicacy with a garlic seasoning- you will be amazed!
We’ll continue our foodie journey in a sweet tooth heaven. Here we will taste a tasty Madeleine from the east of France. All French children know this little pastry and remember them fondly as their after-school snacks. You will have a bite of childhood here.
End this family food tour in the warm atmosphere of a renowned Breton “crêperie” (pancake restaurant). The kids will love these delights filled with organic caramel or jam from Brittany. Yummy!

Important notice: This tour is not available on Mondays, because most of the shops are closed that day.
