French Regional Food Tour (Dinner Time)
Our special Dinner Food Tour introduces you to the foremost regional French cuisine gathered in Paris’ south of Pigalle. Enjoy a gustatory journey where you taste the best of France in one local Parisian area!
The tour begins by meeting your Welcomer at the Anvers market. This very picturesque market, where one finds the typical Parisian atmosphere opens every Friday afternoon and is rarely known by foreign visitors or tourists.
Follow your food expert who will offer you regional tastings while strolling this charming local market. Expect a stop by a local cheese producer who is going to sample delicious locally produced cheese from different French regions just for you. From a mature Burgundy to a mellow Comté, you name it!
After your first tasting session in the charming market, you are going to digest your way to Rue des Martyrs. This street is famous for the rich variation of French cuisine it offers, located in the heart of the 9th district. Your first tasting is at a Corsican specialty shop. Relish different kinds of French “Saucisson” produced by a Corsican pork butcher.
In your next shop, delicious terrines and rillettes processed by a family from the Alsace region await you. This family also offers other natural products originating from the southwest French coast, especially from the Basque Country.
You probably need a break by now. But not your stomach! Enjoy the delicacies your Welcomer has selected for you during this food tour in a Provencal deli that promotes products from Provence (organic olive oil and various sugar and almond pastes). Also, enjoy your glass of a wine chosen among Provence vineyards. Cheers!
Time for desert! What about a mouthwatering Breton “crêpe” (from Brittany) made with organic ingredients to end this food tour in Paris? We guarantee a happy ending, and a happier stomach 😊
Which kind of food I can expect in this tasting?
Our aim is to cover many French regions during one food tour. You will taste cold cuts, bread, cheeses, wine, desserts… and trust us, after this you will not need to have dinner.
Are we standing all the time along the food tour?
The duration of the tour is split between standing tastings and seated tastings where you savour all the purchases previously made.
What does the fee of the tour include?
It includes all the tastings. Only if you want to buy some comestibles as private purchases will it be at your charge.
Meeting Address: Anvers, Paris, France - Outside of the metro, Metro station Anvers (line 2)
