This unique France Food Tour takes you to every important French corner during 3 hours starting from 11am. The perfect time to begin a memorable lunch experience! Your food expert carries you on a gustatory journey of French food while walking you on a charming Parisian street: “Rue des Martyrs”.

Located in the South of Pigalle and goes to Montmartre, the Rue des Martyrs street is the heart of the 9th district where food businesses, fashion brands, hip bars and gourmet restaurants line up along pavements, providing colorful window cases and attractive fruits and vegetables stalls. This France Regional Food Tour also offers opportunities for warm encounters with local Parisian storekeepers.

The Tour starts by visiting a young certified master cheese maker who offers more than 60 sorts of cheese. From his stand, you may enjoy the mellowness of a Burgundy matured cheese or a hard cheese made from the Alps region.

The next destination introduces the Corsican specialties. This is where you will savor many different kinds of French sausages (saucisson) produced by a Corsican pork butcher.

Afterwards, you will taste delicious terrines and rillettes processed by an eastern French family (from Alsace) who have widened their activity to other natural products originating from the southwest French coast, with specialties of the Basque Country.

A small break is then scheduled which will allow you to savor the delicacies your Welcomer has selected for you. You’ll stop at a Provencal deli which promotes products from Provence, such as the famous olive oil or various sugar and almond paste goodies. While seated, you will taste a glass of a wine, chosen among Provence vineyards.

It is desert time! End this tour with a succulent Breton (from Brittany) “crêpes” (pancakes), made with organic ingredients. Yummy!

Which kind of food I can expect in this tasting?

Our aim is to cover many French regions during one tour. You will taste everything a French meal is made of: cold cuts, bread, cheeses, wine, desserts…

South Pigalle seems to be away from everything, can I combine this France food tour with another place to visit before or after lunch?

South Pigalle is south of Montmartre. At the Anvers metro station, where the tour starts, you’re a stone’s throw away from Sacré-Cœur. If you want to organize a combined visit, please, just let us know!

Are we standing all the time along this France food tour?

The duration of the tour is split between standing tastings and seated tastings where you savour all the purchases previously made.

What does the fee of the tour include?

It includes all the tastings! Only if you want to buy some comestibles as private purchases will it be at your charge.
