First time in Paris and can’t decide how to plan your day? Look nowhere else! We at Meet The Locals have planned a Paris Best Of Tour that shows you exactly what needs to be seen not only from a tourist’s perspective, but also from a local Parisian’s, a certified art historian and Paris lover, will be your Welcomer and is very happy to host this tour!
She will be sharing with you her favorite pathways and areas in Paris. Of course, focal places like the Eiffel Tower, Les Champs-Elysées, Notre-Dame are part of the plan. She will make sure that you won’t miss neither the highlights nor the Parisian lifestyle experience! Without further ado, let’s get right into your busy and exciting day!
Your starting point is in front of Paris’s symbol: The Eiffel Tower. Your welcomer will tell you everything about this iconic tower and unveil how it escaped its scheduled destruction.
Then, you will get right into a daily local activity: Public Transportation! Meet all types of Parisians on your way to the most beautiful avenue in the world, the Champs-Elysées!
Starting at the iconic Arc de Triomphe ruling at the top of this beautiful wide avenue, stroll down while looking at the beautiful buildings, popular cafés and fanciest shops, until you reach Place de la Concorde. This former royal square became tragically famous during the Revolution. Will you guess which of the monuments it holds the oldest?
See that beautiful park behind where you’re standing? That’s where you’re heading! This is the Tuileries Gardens next to the Rivoli Street arcades. As you take some fresh air and meander at this charming park, you are approaching the world’s largest museum. You guessed it! It’s the Louvre! The outstanding pyramid as well as the long facades of this former Royal palace will blow you away…
But wait! Before praising this iconic repository, you must not miss the famous Palais Garnier, also known as l’Opéra! This Ballet and Opera Hall’s striking façade dates back to the 19th century.
It is now time to witness Paris’s famous gothic cathedral: Notre-Dame de Paris. Follow your welcomer inside the church as she informs you about its history and decoration.
On your way to La Bastille, your welcomer will show you the charming lle Saint Louis and the Place des Vosges, le Marais’ main highlight.
Your tour ends up in Montmartre, the highest hill in Paris. From the Sacré-Coeur steps, an extraordinary view opens above Paris. Picturesque cityscape and painters will also be waiting for you at Place du Tertre.
Are we visiting inside the monuments or climbing up the Eiffel Tower?
The tour only includes a visit of Notre Dame but we won’t visit the Eiffel Tower. Don’t worry, you will see the tower from the distance, which is even better for your pictures! All the comments you need about the Tower will be given anyway by your Welcomer.
how will we travel across Paris?
For very distant locations, you will take public transportation (tickets included). But you will mainly walk, that’s the best way to visit and make the most of a city!

The lunch fee is not included in the tour but your Welcomer will be able to recommend you some places according to your budget.
