Montmartre is certainly one of the most popular tourist destinations. But visiting it with kids can be sometimes challenging! At Meet the Locals, we know how to captivate your little darlings by offering an awesome treasure hunt. This playful walking tour will offer you the best conditions to appreciate the artistic atmosphere and the fascinating history of this district

At the beginning of the tour, your Welcomer will hand in an activity booklet holding questions and gentle riddles allowing your kids to take advantage of their Montmartre visit.

Starting from Anvers metro Station, you will already get a glimpse of the majestic Sacré-Coeur, your next stop. An enjoying cable-car ride will drive you up to the hill. From the church esplanade, the view is going to stun your whole family! There is also a secret to unlock (hint: It is always the most obvious that is hidden to the eyes).

A little further away, on Place du Tertre, painters hang out and provide a bustling ambiance. Your Welcomer will lead you to observe details that others are not paying attention to.

An entertaining Paris for Kids activity in the lovely district of Montmartre!

As you go on a quest of numerous artists who lived there, at each of the following stops ‑ a charming museum and a former bohemian workshop ‑ your children will hear about the extraordinary lives of these revolutionary painters. Through funny riddles and entertaining games, they will find these celebrities’ names and learn about their universal masterpieces.

You cannot speak about Montmartre without speaking about its windmills, vineyards and cabarets. Your kids’ observational skill will lead them to relive some crucial moments of Montmartre history.

As you reach the public gardens, you will learn that they keep remarkable surprises with statues holding hilarious anecdotes. As they are solving the enigmas, your children will be able to shake hands with a former local resident, cure another person’s headache and receive a French romantic lesson.

We have succeeded to turn Montmartre into an ideal playground and are impatient to have you on board with us!

And if you look for more Paris for kids activities, we have plenty just here: Family Tours Paris!

I have a teenager and a child on board. Is this tour fit for them?

We have passionately tailored this Paris for kids tour to be adapted to all ages, from the smallest in the family to the eldest. Your caring Welcomer will make sure that everyone is enjoying the tour in Montmartre.

Does this tour demand a lot of walking?

Montmartre looks quite hilly, but our tour’s path has been schemed to first take the cable car to on on top of the hill. Your Welcomer will then adapt the speed of the tour to include a few stops if needed.

Are we entering the Sacré-Coeur in this Paris for kids tour?

Going inside the Sacré-Coeur is not included in this visit. However, you can easily visit it by yourselves after the tour since your last stop is very close to it.

What if we are more than 4 people?

Just advise us in your request form about the number of people in your party, as well as their category (adult or child). There will be an extra fee of 20 € per additional person.

  1. :

Camille, our guide, was fantastic. She really knew her stuff (studied art history at the Louvre!) and made the tour engaging for the kids and the parents (our kids are 7 and 10). She was adaptable based on weather, our childrens’ interests, and how tired they were. We have loved Montmartre before and were worried our kids would get bored, but this was the way to do it. Fantastic!
